The cover of the pillow depends on the choice of the customer. However, the phase-change material is more expensive than polyester cover. Shredded memory foam and down alternative fiber are synthetic materials. Down alternative fiber is the synthetic version of DOWN; which is a natural fluffy product made from feathers of geese. Down alternative fiber as the name implies is an alternative to the organic down, it is cheaper and does not last as long as the organic down. It is made from puffs of polyester and it traps heat unlike the organic down that is breathable. However, down alternative fiber is an option for sleepers that are allergic to feathers and are low on budget. It is a cheap imitation of the organic down material.

Shredded memory foam is made from polyurethane. Shredded memory foam is like memory foam except that, it has been shredded into smaller pieces. The pieces work independently inside the pillow making the pillow more suitable for snuggling. Memory foam has viscoelastic properties which makes it return to its shape after pressure has been released from the pillow. Memory foam allows sleepers to skin in the pillow, this also causes trapping of heat which can be discomforting especially when the weather is hot. The cover can either be made from polyester of phase-change material. Polyester is a synthetic material that is cheap. It is known to trap heat, but it dries quickly when washed. Phase-change material on the other hand just as the name implies is a thermo regulating material. It helps to regulate the temperature of the pillow and makes sleepers to sleep cool. This is a better option for sleepers because the shredded memory foam and down alternate fiber are known to trap heat. The phase-change material will help sleepers to sleep cool regardless.

Helix pillow is made with soft and fluffy materials that conforms to sleepers’ neck and allow them to sleep comfortably. The pillow is adjustable, which indicates sleepers can change the loft or firmness of the pillow to suit their sleeping position. The pillow is suitable for sleepers that like to snuggle when sleeping. The pillow has good moldability and helps to relief pressure. The pillow will however trap heat, if a customer chooses to buy the polyester cover because the material is not very breathable. However, the phase-change material will make sleeping cool very possible because of its thermo regulating property.

The pillow has only one firmness option, but the option is customizable. Sleepers can adjust the firmness option of the pillow to suit them. The pillow has shredded memory foam and down alternate fiber on both side of the mattress which provides good support to the pillow. The pillow is designed to provide good support to sleepers and it relieves pressure from the neck.

The price of the pillow depends on the type of cover used. Polyester cover is cheaper than phase-change material cover. The standard price for helix pillow with polyester cover is $85 while that of phase-change material cover is $115. The price of the pillow with phase-change material cover is a bit above the average price of most pillows while that of the polyester is within the average price.
